Under Tennessee Law, the following facilities are Safe Havens for newborn babies:
Community Health Clinics(health departments)
Outpatient, Walk-In Clinics
Emergency Medical Service Facilities (EMS)
Fire Stations (only those staffed 24 hours)
Police Stations (only those staffed 24 hours)
*You do not have to surrender in the county which you reside. *All facilities are marked with outdoor signage and door clings. *Some facilities are not open 24/7. If this is the case, facility personnel must be present in order to surrender, per the Safe Haven Law. This will be denoted on the facility door.
