Update #2

June 8, 2026

We had a wonderful day today, beginning with a delicious breakfast at the Ampersand B&B, hosted by the delightful and entertaining owner, Irene. Our photo with her follows this update.

We then enjoyed a scheduled tour of West Point with Claudia, a good friend of Lyn Eagen, SSPTN Board Chair. It was a fascinating tour of this historic military academy and an unforgettable experience. Many thanks to Lyn for arranging this special opportunity for us!

God blessed us with another beautiful and safe day of riding as we traveled the scenic backroads of New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, and New York. Along the way, we enjoyed breathtaking views of farms, small towns, boroughs, mountains, and rivers that showcased the beauty of our country.

Tonight, we have settled in for the evening in Bennington, Vermont, grateful for another day of adventure, fellowship, and safe travels.

Update #1

June 7, 2026

We've been blessed with two beautiful days of riding through Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Joining us on this leg of the journey are Charlie's brother, Tom, and his wife, Debbie, along with Mike and Sonya Hosick.

The photos below capture a few special moments from the trip so far, including:

  • Friends who followed us to Buc-ee's after Saturday's send-off
  • Our daughter, granddaughters, and their friend Caylee waving goodbye
  • Celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary at Olive Garden
